To sail, to discover, to live ….
Thematically compatible fair to take place in parallel:
With the songs performed by the Cambi harmony group in a festive atmosphere of the Zagreb Fair Congress Hall the jubilee 25th Zagreb Boat Show was officially opened by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Bandić.
Zagreb Boat Show was held in four full pavilions hosting over 300 exhibitors from 25 countries at an exhibition space of 12,000 m2. The fair was attended by 25,582 visitors - 26% more than the last year.
Zagreb Boat Show is the only continental event of its kind in Croatia characterized by business profiling as many exhibitors have recognized it as an unavoidable venue to present vessels and other products.
The fair featured more than 100 vessels from Croatia and abroad, among them 11 Croatian premieres: Bayliner 742, Bura 7.5, Vento 650, Galia 770, Galia 660 Marine 6, Sea Ray 19 SPX, Blueline 23 Deck, Marion 750 Sport, Prince 600 Cabin, Prince 570 Open, Mediteran Triton 15. The top offer included yachts, speedboats, boats, kayaks, dinghies, marine engines and outboard motors, equipment for diving, sailing and other water sports.
From the accompanying events we wish to single out the project “A Look into the Blue” that has for several years been showing visitors the wonders of diving in a 10-metre-swimming under professional guidance as well as through the exhibition of exclusive underwater photographs.
During the run of the fair the visitors could observe the master shipbuilder finishing the traditional wooden boat and have fun racing and balancing on surfing boards.
For the visitors of the fair we organized a prize game with a fund exceeding 60,000 HRK.
Impressions of Zagreb Boat Show exhibitors:
Romano Pičuljan, Pičuljan Boatbuilders:
“We are very pleased with the fair. The attendance is larger than the last year. Especially today, on Saturday, there were a lot of visitors. Pavilions are refreshed and renewed, which is also excellent. We have been exhibiting at the Fair for 19 years now. Next year we have our anniversary, so we will have to work something out for the occasion. On the business side, the fair fell within the expected range. Here we are presenting not only the exhibited models but also our company as a whole, all of our activities ranging from the overhaul, services to materials for ships, coatings and everything related to boats and sailing. We wish to highlight the model 980, which is a family boat with over 11m length.”
Klaudio Grginić, Grginić-Mirakul:
”I am pleased with the fair. This year’s attendance is great. We interact with other exhibitors and visitors. The most visited vessel is Mirakul 40, and the largest number of people are interested in Mirakul 30 with two engines amounting to EUR 138,000.“
Siniša Rudelj, Bravo Makarska:
”This year's Zagreb Boat Show is certainly a refreshment as compared to the last year and the one before that. The pavilion 10a is restored and painted so that we have a completely different environment. We are glad because of these works as a longtime exhibitor. Our programme includes Four Winns speedboats and small cruisers, Glastron, Rinker and boats with the outboard motor Little Prince. The interest in our boats is usual, especially on Saturday and Sunday when the attendance is the largest. I wish to emphasize Glastron 229 GTS, which is very well-equipped. It is a boat of 7.22 m length.”
Ištvan Karačonji, Bayliner Croatia:
“We are taking part in the Zagreb Boat Show for the first time directly through the company Bayliner. We thought it was time to appear at the Fair as a factory so as assist our direct distributors. We are very pleased. The attendance is extremely large and we got some very serious interest in our models. As one of the most interesting models at the Fair we wish to single out Cuddy 742 with the cabin. The new Bayliner 742 Cuddy is one of the most innovative designs that appeared on the market. Also, we recommend the Bayliner element XL.“
