FKM - Austria Statute and Regulations

FKM AUSTRIA is a voluntary events controlling organisation founded in 1986 on the model of German FKM. It is controlling 86 Austrian fairs. The founders of FKM are the fairs from Wien, Graz, Klagenfurt, Innsbruck, Dornb¸rn, Reid and Wels. The controlled FKM statistics are being sent on two thousand different addresses: news agencies, advertising companies, chambers, big companies and others interested in events information.

Joining the FKM controlling system ensures promotion free of charge through the circulation of data via the extensive range of competent addresses from the Austrian economy. Besides, the sign FKM has its reputation in the business world and proves quality, reliability and accuracy of data on ZF when published in European and world statistics.

The aim and purpose of the organisation is to provide for the trustworthy and easy-to-understand events statistical information for the sake of enhancing competing abilities of economic factors.

The general rules of FKM-Austria are defining the guidelines the events industry rests on.

a) The term fair encompasses the time limited event which is repeated in regular intervals at which a number of exhibitors representing one or more industrial branches display an extensive offer sold on the basis of a sample primarily to the dealers or wholesalers.

b) The fair-like event is meant the event held only once, i.e. irregularly which is supposed to present the economic potentials of a particular branch or region with the primary target to provide information, marketing being of the secondary significance.

c) Quantity figures primarily stand for: number of visitors, exhibitors and exhibition size.

d) Quality figures are determined by the criteria used for the more specific determination of the quantity.

e) FKM sign could be used only for the controlled events data.

f) An event could be marked international only in case when at least 10% of direct exhibitors are from abroad.
