Today Zagreb Fair saw the closing of AMBIENTA, 49th International Furniture, Interior Decoration and Supporting Industry Fair.

Ambienta brought together 146 exhibitors from 12 countries in the pavilion 5.

The Fair included several thematic units: Furniture and Interior Decoration, Design Zone, Construction and Equipping, Art Fair and Horeca. The exhibitors presented various types of furniture for housing, business premises, hotels and catering facilities, designer furniture and interior and exterior decoration products and equipment.

Ambienta was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Zagreb and the partners were Hrvatske šume (Croatian Forests) and the Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

"Over the years, Ambienta has become a movement for the Croatian wood industry, positioning itself as a communication platform for all related industries that deal with aspects of housing, ranging from construction to equipping and decorating buildings, through design and art, as well as special offers for catering services" said Renata Suša, Zagreb Fair Director, at the opening ceremony.

Ambienta was officially inaugurated by Luka Korlaet, PhD, Deputy Mayor and Envoy to the Mayor of the City of Zagreb. His Excellency, Mr. Pierfrancesco Sacco, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Croatia, and the State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Šime Mršić also addressed the audience.

In addition to the exhibition segment, this year’s Ambienta also offered a quality professional and accompanying programme. There was a two-day conference of the Croatian Chamber of Architects titled "Scope of architectural services and fees", the lecture by the Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute expert on the current topic "Efficient energy use in the household", the conference on the topic "Build your business" organized by the Voice of Entrepreneurs Association and the panel discussion titled "The man at the center of design" organized by the Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Domus Decorum held an inspirational lecture on the holistic approach to the arrangement of business spaces called the "New age office"

The autumn auction by the Kontura auction house took place this year as well.

Admission to the Fair was free.
