Today the Zagreb Fair saw the closing of the RIGHT AGE, the Mature Generation Fair.

It gathered 83 exhibitors, professionals involved in increasing the quality of life of the elderly.

The organizer of the RIGHT AGE was the Zagreb Fair and the co-organizers of the professional and accompanying programme were the City of Zagreb - City Office for Social Protection and People with Disability and the Foundation Zajednički put (Mutual path).

At exhibitors’ stands many visitors were given a small medical check-up, body and hand massage, hearing, vision and oral cavity examination as well as valuable advice from the experts on site. Spas, health resorts, health institutions, senior homes, companies offering equipment, aids and dietary supplements, and numerous associations presented their offer.

During all three days, the fair offered a rich accompanying programme that included professional and educational gatherings and various creative workshops.

Panel discussions were held on the topics "Why is it good to find employment when retired?" and "The age is (not) important – we are just getting started!". There was also a fashion show, a quiz show and the traditional Nordic walking from the Bundek Lake to the Zagreb Fair.

The project "Mobile geronto-dental specialist team" was presented at the fair. It is intended for all immobile and users with mobility difficulties at Senior Homes of the City of Zagreb.

"The aim of the fair is to raise the social awareness of the importance of promoting healthy and active aging, and more importantly the awareness of the need for social inclusion of the elderly in the period when they stop working and enter the best part of their life", said Mrs. Dina Tomšić, PhD, Zagreb Fair Director at the official opening.

The admission to the fair was free.
