On Sunday, 23 February, Zagreb Fair saw the closing of the Zagreb Boat Show and Hunting and Fishing Days.
"We are commencing the business year again with good news and an extremely strong term, led by our flagship fair Zagreb Boat Show. These two fairs occupy 9 exhibition pavilions with 20,000 m2 of space, where 404 exhibitors from 26 countries will present their products, services and novelties.", said Zagreb Fair Director, Mrs. Dina Tomšić, PhD during the official opening ceremony.
The fairs were inaugurated by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Milan Bandić.
This year’s Zagreb Boat Show was the largest edition in the past 10 years. As compared to the previous edition, the exhibition space has increased by 10% and the number of displayed vessels by 7%, since more than 300 vessels are presented this year. There were 4 world premieres and 13 Croatian premieres.
The 1st Croatian Diving Congress was orgnized. During two days, experts from various fields discussed interesting topics related to diving.
Hunting and Fishing Days were attended by numerous hunters and fishermen, who could see and buy the latest equipment. All interested visitors were given the opportunity to try shooting with an air gun, laser, bow and arrow. Within the scope of the Hunting and Fishing Days a number of expert gatherings were held.
The fairs attracted 24,265 visitors.
For the visitors we prepared the largest prize fund in the amount of over 116,000 kn. Lucky winners of the first three prizes are Robert Matić from Zagreb (4 days od Pearlsea charter of choice), Armin Škrbo from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (weekend cruise for 6 on a motor yacht Mirakul 30 Hardtop) and Tedi Batistić from Zaprešić (dinghy Hercules Pro 270AL, outboard engine Hidea HDF6HS, 4T,1, 4 life jackets Lalizas).
