Panel discussion: “A New Chapter for Croatian Nautical Tourism: More Than Sailing!“
How Is Croatian Nautical Industry Changing Today - Who Is Setting the Course of Development?
Croatian boating is entering a new phase of development in which professional standards, education and the visibility of people in the sector are becoming just as important as vessels and destinations.
Representatives of the industry and practice will discuss careers, sector visibility and education: Maja Ban, Vice President of the Croatian Yachting Association (CROYA), Croatian Charter Association, Croatian National Tourist Board, Adria Libar educators and industry professionals will share insights into new career paths and the visibility of yachting among young people. International trends and the development of the yacht charter segment will be introduced by a representative of the Croatian Yachting Association, while Hrvoje Katičić, Vice President of the newly founded Croatian Charter Association, will present the association’s guidelines and first initiatives.
The public sector perspective and the promotion of Croatia as a nautical destination
will be outlined by Kruna Šolić Sutlović (Croatian National Tourist Board). Special emphasis will be placed on the people and knowledge behind the nautical experience. Educators Alessia Cortesi (Guest Relations, professional communication and etiquette) and Ana Kutija (stress management in guest relations) will speak about the importance of non-formal education and sustainable careers, while Silvija Mutić, yacht stewardess and digital content creator will open the discussion on the new visibility of nautical careers through digital channels.
The panel is intended for everyone interested in understanding the industry’s development from multiple perspectives.
