Zagreb Fair saw the closing of the fairs Ambienta, ArhiBau.hr, Art Zagreb, Hotel&Gastroteh and the festival Zagreb Design Week.

In 8 pavilions covering a total area of 18,000 m2, visitors had the opportunity to see the news from the fields of architecture, construction, furniture and interior decoration, design, art and the HoReCa sector.

The Ambienta Fair featured several units: Furniture and Interior Decoration, Product Design Zone, Construction and Equipping and exterior decoration trends. The story of interior and exterior decoration, furniture and design was complemented with the topically related Hotel&Gastroteh Fair, featuring catering and hotel equipment and the HoReCa programme.

The fair was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Croatia and the City of Zagreb.

During the official opening ceremony Renata Suša, Zagreb Fair Director, emphasized: “The great jubilee of the International Furniture, Interior Decoration and Supporting Industry Fair will be the unavoidable venue this year as well, where all the best in the field of furniture production, interior design and related industries will get together. During the past 50 years, Ambienta has become synonymous with the furniture fair, with tradition, the warmth of home and new beginnings. So far, it has featured a number of well-known and renowned companies on the Croatian and world scene and will continue to do so in the future, for that is its task and its mission.

Over the years, Ambienta has become a movement for the Croatian wood industry, positioning itself as a communication platform for all related industries that deal with aspects of housing, furnishing and decorating of facilities, as well as special offers for the catering and service industry
”.

In addition to the exhibition segment, this year’s Ambienta also offered an interesting accompanying programme. It comprised lectures on the topics of separation of bio waste in apartments, solving problems of interior design, the influence of colours on the living space arrangement and green building as well as free professional advice on interior design.

A special interest of the public was attracted by the panel discussion titled "Refurbished Building VS Furnished Apartment" that was attended by eminent building industry experts: Željko Uhlir, State Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets and co-owners’ representative; Marko Porobija, Attorney at Law, Porobija & Špoljarić; Domagoj Šešok, Upravitelj Association, Director of the Building Maintenance Sector at City Housing and Municipal Services Company GSKG; Vesna Bukarica, energy efficiency expert and Department Head for Energy Efficiency at Hrvoje Požar Energy Institute and Sanja Pamuković, licensed architect and co-owners’ representative.

Within the scope of the ArhiBau fair, a three-day expert conference on the topic: “Future’s Habitat/Habitat’s Future” was organized.

On Sunday, recognitions and acknowledgements were awarded to exhibitors for their long-lasting cooperation at the Ambienta Fair, as well as to former employees of Zagreb Fair who worked hard over the years to improve the Ambienta Fair.
