Zagreb Fair saw the closing of three specialized fairs: CroAGRO, 5th International Fair of Agriculture, Agricultural Equipment and Machinery, Food and Healthy Living Fairs and Modernpak&Intergrafika, the International Packaging Materials, Packaging Technology and Printing Industry Fairs, which were held in parallel from 4 to 7 December 2025.
These fairs confirmed their role as a key platform for connecting the entire value chain: from agriculture and food production to packaging and design. They brought together more than 360 exhibitors from 27 countries across 14,600 m² of exhibition space, attracting numerous industry professionals and visitors.
Renata Suša, Zagreb Fair Director, highlighted that these three fairs create a cohesive unit, "a journey that begins in the field, continues through the food industry and concludes with packaging and design".
CroAGRO: Conference on Workforce as the Key Event of the Fair
The fifth anniversary edition of CroAGRO additionally strengthened its position as Croatia’s leading professional agricultural fair, recording an 8% growth this year. It showcased the latest range of agricultural machinery, precision technology systems and solutions for the digital transformation of agricultural production, with the presence of globally renowned brands such as Massey Ferguson, Deutz Fahr, Claas, John Deere, Fendt and others. A special emphasis was placed on domestic production, featuring Croatian agricultural machinery manufacturers, among which were Megametal, Čalopek, Leško, Strojometal Faić and others.
The central event was the professional conference ”Sustainable Workforce: The Path to Efficient Agriculture”, which addressed the key challenge in agriculture - workforce shortage.
The Conference assembled representatives of government institutions, the academic community and employers, thus creating a platform for a constructive dialogue. Participants analyzed current challenges in workforce recruitment and education and discussed the strategic guidelines for ensuring long-term sustainability and enhancing the competitiveness of Croatian agriculture.
Food and Healthy Living Fairs: A Paradise for Food Connoisseurs and Health Enthusiasts
The 14th edition of the Food and Healthy Living Fairs confirmed the status as Croatia’s leading event dedicated to health, natural products and healthy eating habits. Through diverse thematic units like Food, Organica, Kronoplja, Apitera, Mystic and CheeseFest, the fairs provided an excellent opportunity for small producers to present their products and establish direct contact with visitors, promoting the quality and tradition of domestic production.
This year, a special attention was given to gluten-free nutrition. The range of gluten-free products was expanded and the accompanying activities included lectures and workshops where experts offered useful advice to people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance. Visitors learned how to read labels correctly, identify hidden sources of gluten and improve their quality of life by choosing safe and healthy food products.
The culinary event “Desert Twist“ took place on the first day of the fair. Four well-known gastro influencers: Jadan, Marin, Marija Herjavić Jerkić and Zrinka Janković prepared desserts inspired by the cookbook “I Love My County”.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organized a kimchi cooking workshop, introducing the popular Korean fermented dish, which delighted the audience, who had the opportunity to taste kimchi after preparation.
The CheeseFest, dedicated to autochthonous and award-winning cheeses, highlighted the richness of Croatian cheese-making tradition. It concluded with an official awards ceremony for the highest-rated dairy products. A total of 12 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze awards were presented. The champion in the soft/semi-hard/hard cheese category was Vesna Loborika d.o.o. for Rici, a hard cow’s milk cheese. The champion in the other dairy products category is Veronika Mini Dairy for cocktail peppers filled with kajmak cream spread, mildly spicy.
The fairs were traditionally accompanied by a rich programme of educational and engaging lectures and workshops (featuring Denis Beroš, Krešimir Mišak, Željka Ciganović, Dr. Semir Osmanagić), which were so well-attended that extra seats were needed.
Modernpak&Intergrafika: Sustainable Solutions for the Future
Modernpak&Intergrafika Fairs confirmed the critical importance of the packaging and printing industries in bringing the products to the market. Exhibitors presented innovative solutions in packaging, packaging and printing machinery, with an emphasis on sustainable packaging options and environmentally friendly solutions, thus giving a clear direction for the future development of these industries.
