Today, three major fair events were inaugurated at Zagreb Fair: CroAGRO, FOOD AND HEALTHY LIVING FAIRS and the new addition MODERNPAK&INTERGRAFIKA.
The fairs will gather over 360 exhibitors from 27 countries, showcasing their products across more than 14,600 m2 of exhibition space in six pavilions (8, 8a, 9, 10A, 11A) and in the Atrium between pavilions 11a and 10a.
CroAGRO and the Food and Healthy Living Fairs have been established as a significant platform comprising all major topics in agriculture, food and sustainable living, with a special focus on promoting agricultural professions. The international fairs MODERNPAK & INTERGRAFIKA dedicated to packaging, packaging and printing industry will take place in parallel.
“CroAGRO, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, has firmly strengthened its position as Croatia’s leading professional agricultural fair. It features the latest machinery, modern technologies and educational content addressing key challenges of development in the sector. Alongside the world-renown brands, we also highlight our domestic manufacturers of agricultural machinery, who jointly create high-quality and recognizable offer. The Food and Healthy Living Fairs gather producers who value quality, sustainability and authenticity. A special value lies in the fact that many products can be purchased directly from the producers at promotional prices, allowing visitors to actively support small local businesses. This year’s programme also features a large number of exhibitors with gluten-free products.
After the food and healthy living sector, it is only natural to move on to the industry that ensures every product reaches its consumer - packaging, design and finishing technologies. That is why at our third fair, Modernpak and Intergrafika, you will find manufacturers of packaging, machinery, printing technologies and experts from the creative industries. In addition to domestic exhibitors, a notable appearance will be made by Turkish exhibitors, whose arrival has been facilitated by ITF - International Trade Fair, the partner of the fair.
Together, these three fairs create a cohesive unit - a journey that begins in the field, continues through the food industry and concludes with packaging and design“, emphasized Renata Suša, Zagreb Fair Director at the official opening.
The fairs were inaugurated by Tugomir Majdak, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Envoy of the Prime Minister of Croatia. He pointed out that the Ministry has supported the fair since its very beginning.
“We need a fair like this, held under the motto: 'The Fair That Agriculture Deserves'. This fair is something that agriculture, Zagreb and Croatia truly deserve. Trade fair activities are extremely important as they allow us to present modern agricultural technologies to our farmers as quickly and effectively as possible”, Majdak accentuated.
Ana Pavičić Kaselj, Head of the Office for Economy, Ecological Sustainability and Strategic Planning and Envoy of the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, stressed that the City of Zagreb has traditionally supported these fairs.
“The City of Zagreb continuously supports agricultural production through various programmes, both within the city and in cooperation with the Ministry and Zagreb County, which together form our unique ring and cohesive unit. The city also promotes locally produced food and organic products”, said Pavičić Kaselj.
Petar Šimić, Member of Parliament and Envoy of the President of the Croatian Parliament congratulated the organizers on the international character of the fair:
“These fairs bring together exhibitors, innovators, the academic community and farmers from a total of 27 countries and I extend my congratulations to the organizers on that. This confirms that Croatia has something to show and that there is room for even stronger growth. Over the past five years, CroAgro has become an indispensable fair for all who make a living from agriculture.”
