As many as 23 Croatian premiere vessels were featured at this year's Zagreb Boat Show, and almost all important domestic shipbuilders were present (Pičuljan Shipbuilding, Grginić Yachts, Leidi, Terra Nauta, Pearlsea, Arba, Bura Boats, Barracuda, Marušić Shipbuilding). The fair was also visited by famous rowers, the "golden brothers" Martin and Valent Sinković. The Meeting of Young Business Professionals in the Boating Industry was organized as well.
The Hunting and Fishing Days were attended by many hunters and fishermen who could look around and buy the latest equipment. Interested visitors could try shooting with air guns, lasers, bow and arrow. As part of the Hunting and Fishing Days, numerous expert lectures and hunting dog show were held, and visitors could enjoy tasting game meat goulash and fish stew.
The fairs were opened by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Mr. Tomislav Tomašević, who expressed his satisfaction that Zagreb Fair came back in full splendour with fairs like these and that Zagreb Boat Show is an important event not only for Zagreb but also for the entire country, since Croatia is a paradise for nautical tourism.
"Quality of domestic products and innovative solutions of hard-working Croatian shipbuilders are presented in the strongest display of vessels, thus competing with the numerous and rich foreign offer of the world's most famous vessel manufacturers.
We have turned the pavilions of Zagreb Fair into a real marina and nautical paradise, so all visitors can expect a top-quality offer of yachts and speedboats, marine engines and outboard motors, equipment for water sports, nautical clothing and footwear, and a professional conference programme", said Mrs. Renata Suša, Zagreb Fair Director, at the official opening of the fair.
This year as well, a rich prize pool worth €9,514 was prepared for the visitors. The lucky winners of the main prizes are Igor Juraić from Zagreb (MIRAKUL 30 Hardtop - weekend cruise, Grginić Yachts Zagreb) and Dino Novosel from Zagreb (PEARLSEA 25 - three-day lease with a skipper, Pearlsea Yachts, Zagreb).
