HUNTING AND FISHING DAYS were held at the Zagreb Fair grounds for the second year in a row to the great satisfaction of hunters and anglers. The Exhibition of County Hunting Associations and Tourist Boards accompanied the fair.
Hunting and Fishing Days were supported by the City of Zagreb, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Hunting Federation and the Croatian Sport Fishing Federation.
Hunting and Fishing Days took place in the pavilions 7 and 7a of the Zagreb Fair with participation of 64 exhibitors from 14 countries.
The aim of the Hunting and Fishing Days was to highlight the possibility of developing hunting tourism in the continental Croatia in harmony with nature. Apart from the exhibition segment this fair also included an educational and professional programme, which emphasized the potential and the direct significance of hunting for nature conservation and preservation. The Croatian Hunting Federation and the Pisarovina Municipality organized a national conference on the topic "Through a structured dialogue to sustainable rural communities".
From the supporting programme we wish to highlight the educational Zoological Garden of the City of Zagreb, hunting dogs show, falconry – hunting with birds of prey and the hunting gastro show, exhibition of mushrooms, exhibition of stuffed wild animals and fish exhibition.
At the space of the Croatian Shooting Federation and the Zagreb Shooting Association all interested visitors were able to try shooting with an air gun, laser, bow and arrow.
Admission to the fairs was free for all visitors. It is estimated that the Food and Healthy Living Fairs and the Hunting and Fishing Days were attended by more than 12,000 people.
